MODULE 2

FUNDAMENTALS OF DIGITAL DENTISTRY ON IMPLANTS (CHAIR-SIDE AND LAB-SIDE)

At present, no one doubts the possibilities and potential of intraoral scanners within the CAD / CAM workflow (ComputerAid Design / Computer Aid Machine) for oral implantology.

Having the possibility to do a digital planning from the scan without having to resort to the taking of impressions and the placement of individualized pillars, during or after the placement of an implant, in order to achieve better emergency profiles, and avoiding the undesirable connection and disconnection of the abutment that so much affects the stability of the peri-implant tissues.

In addition to the biological and clinical advantages of the digital flow in implantology, we can obtain a considerable saving of time and physical resources, which gives it a great added value that marks a point of difference to our daily practice.

This is the main objective of this module, aimed at making the most of oral digital implantology on a day-to-day basis.

Introduction to the digital flow in oral implantology: what can I do chair-side and what should I do lab-side, depending on each implant system used, to get the most benefit from the CAD / CAM system.

Intraoral scanning versus extraoral scanning: possibilities and limitations. Digital protocol in chair-side and lab-side oral implantology.

Design of single and multiple restorations on implants.

CAD / CAM materials in chair-side oral implantology: applications, management, evolution and medium-term results.

Treatments in complex rehabilitations of teeth and implants.
